SOS Children Village
Fulfil Your Corporate Social Responsibility and Donate For BBEE benefits.
As the financial year-end draws even closer, now is perhaps an important time to look at your Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment scorecard and consider ways that could possibly improve your rating for the next financial year.
In terms of Code 700 of the BBBEE scorecard, companies can secure additional points if they spend 1% of their Net Profit After Tax (NPAT) on socio-economic development (SED) initiatives that facilitate sustainable economic inclusion, for previously disadvantaged beneficiaries, 75% of whom must be black.
SOS Children’s Villages is a registered Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) and a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO). Our beneficiaries are 99% black and we have a SED recognition of 100%. This means that you could be gaining points towards your BBBEE scorecard in recognition for your generous support.
As a registered PBO we are also able to issue you with an 18A tax certificate for your contributions. A Section 18A tax deduction is one of the few remaining deductions still available to taxpayers. In terms of section 18A, the amount of the deduction may not exceed 10% of your taxable income, it must be a bonafide donation, which may be in cash or in-kind.
Thank you for helping SA’s most marginalised children and young people.
